SP0018 - MPLS TE Explicit vs Dynamic Path (Part 2)

The video demonstrates two methods of specifying traffic path in Cisco MPLS Traffic Engineering (TE); Explicit and Dynamic Path. We will first look at Dynamic Path and its ability to automatically calculate the shortest path to tunnel destination router even routing around a failed link. We will then touch on the concept of tunnel re-optimization and adjusting its timer. You can also gain complete hop-by-hop control of the traffic path by using an Explicit Path option, which we will review in the second half of the video.

SP0017 - MPLS TE Basic Traffic Engineering (Part 3)

The video gets you started on Cisco MPLS Traffic Engineering (TE). We will look at the fundamental of MPLS TE including routing protocol, specifically ISIS, metric support, additional routing information the protocol needs to carry, and the role of Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP) in bandwidth reservation, MPLS label distribution, and tunnel establishment. As a quick demonstration, we will configure a basic MPLS TE tunnel, perform Wireshark packet capture, and review RSVP packets.
